As with all of our rustic outdoor lights, we offer only the highest quality of wood for our cedar lamp post designs. The mill manufactures each of these rustic wood lamp posts from northern white cedar. All of our lamp posts are laminated to ensure there is no splitting, warping, or twisting as well as longevity in the aspect of never needing to worry about rot, decay, or insects ruining your beautiful rustic outdoor lighting. The “Fancy Turned” outdoor lamp post features carved turnings along the length of the pole for a classic yet elegant look. Whether you prefer that or the more simple look of the square rustic driveway light post, our rustic outdoor lighting is the perfect way to light up your home, garden, or business for years to come.
Our supplier makes each of our natural, unfinished white cedar lamp posts, so you can leave them in their natural state or have them finished. The natural wooden finish looks fantastic with our brass exterior lights or a copper light fixture atop. We also offer a white stain that looks absolutely divine with any of our historic reproduction outdoor lighting lantern designs – especially lanterns with the black painted finish! However, you can definitely mix and match any of our outdoor lantern and post designs to best fit your space.
Each outdoor and garden light post has a center bored wire way exiting out the side of the pole with a 3 inch post fitter at the top that is compatible with any of our outdoor post lanterns. Our wooden lamp posts measure 8’ 10” in height, but if you are shipping, we suggest reducing the size to 8 feet for easier shipping.
When installing your new rustic outdoor lamp post, plan to bury it roughly 2-3 feet underground to make sure it is secure. This depth still leaves plenty of height above ground to display your rustic outdoor lighting while also making sure it’s sturdy enough to withstand the elements.
